In recent years Goedwerk Foundation has supported a growing number of Syrians in their return. They handed in their Dutch residence permits to rebuild their lives in Syria again. Both families and single people returned with Goedwerk Foundation.

We see many Syrians returning in the coming period as well. Because of our experience we know that when returning to Syria, we often have to arrange things such as withdrawing a residence permit, extending expired passports and crediting school diplomas. Goedwerk Foundation can help with all of this.

What we offer:

  • Personal attention and a listening ear
  • Information and advice
  • Applying or extending passports in Brussels
  • Transport and guidance during visits to the embassy(s)
  • Withdrawal of your residence permit at the IND
  • Mediation and contact with family members in Syria
  • Crediting of diplomas
  • Training and trajectory depending on the needs of the migrant: set up your own company, assistance with finding a job, vocational training or purchasing materials to build a new life
  • Financial support on return
  • Flight ticket to Syria
  • Guidance on departure to and at Schiphol
  • Monitoring and after care after return

For people who have been in the Netherlands without documents for more than ten years, Goedwerk Foundation has the project: Long-term Undocumented Migrants. This means that people from countries that are not normally supported, such as Algeria and Morocco, can receive possible support and financial help thanks to this project.

If you would like more information about this, please contact us.

What will my future look like if legal residence in the Netherlands does not succeed. A sensitive and difficult question that Goedwerk Foundation can help with. Goedwerk Foundation offers training courses on Future Orientation in cooperation with different municipalities.

 What we offer:

  • Future Orientation Training
  • Group sessions

People can consider returning to their country of origin for personal reasons or because asylum has been rejected. It is important to us that people voluntarily choose to return to their country of origin.
